We had a fabulous time at Mountain Lake Cottages. Great communication and friendly people. We probably would have been happy with any of their choices, but we are thrilled we chose to stay in Water's Edge Bungalow. Our stay was filled with sightings of geese, otters, turtles, fish and ducks. The views of the lake are fantastic and from every angle out the back. The kitchen is well appointed. The home is lovely and comfortable with plenty of room. And the mattresses were very comfortable. We all slept incredibly well. Fishing off the back deck every day was a treat for my dad. He caught and released bluegill and catfish. Watching kayakers fish was also fun. And it was great to see so many people enjoying the lake and taking walks and bike rides around it. Everything we wanted to do (downtown shopping and eating, antique shopping) was only six to twelve minutes away. Downtown Hendersonville is a gem. Extremely busy on Memorial Day weekend with the Garden Jubilee, but still fun and the parking kiosks made timing our parking and paying for parking easy. We highly recommend Mountain Lake Cottages, Water's Edge Bungalow, El Paso Mexican Grill, Flat Rock Wood Room, Arabella's, and Needful Things Antique Mall.

Staying in the Waters Edge Bungalow has become my favorite place to be away from home- which is a small farmette in Conway SC. Being so close to lake Osceola allowed us to observe the beautiful wildlife- geese and many families of goslings, turtles warming upon the fallen trees, an otter busily gathering seaweed to take to its hideaway and majestic blue herons soaring across the lake. Two daughters and their families live close by and the Bungalow was the perfect gathering place. Beautiful weather allowed us to fish, kayak, paddleboard, swim as well as walk around the lake. We made special memories. Thank you Michele and Alan for your friendly attentiveness to assure our comfort. Lord willing we will return. Shalom!

This is our 4th vear at Leonis Mountain Lake Cottages, but our first time staying in this beautiful home. Just shy of my nieces first birthday, she helped catch the biggest fish of our trip - a 2.12 lb catfish!! 40 tish caught in total! We’ll see you next year, lake Osceola!♥️

We live in Florida and my grandmother was raised in Hendersonville, all of her siblings and our family are are still there. We come up 3 to 4 times a year for the last 10 to 12 years and always stay here! Michelle is always so helpful and responsive with any of our needs or reservations. This place feels like a second Home to us since we have stayed so many times. And we have tested all their cabin locations! We will continue to visit our family in the mountains, which now includes Michelle:)

Been staying for years at the camp cabins at Leoni's Mountain lake inn and this time took the Lakeside Cottage. The cottage itself is a winner. Full kitchen and two nicely appointed bedrooms w TVs. A living area with a TV. Fabulous enclosed porch right on the lakeside as well as a deck extending over the lake area. Viewed wading birds, hawks, kingfishers and ducks and geese galore. Spotted an eagle perched above the dam area. Had a wonderful visit and so close to Hendersonville theater and restaurants and the flat rock theater as well. We had a wonderful visit.

We needed a little house centrally located to explore Ashville and Flat Rock. We were thrilled to have found Mountain Lake Cottages on Lake Osceola in Hendersonville. Our bungalow was right on the water, plus we had Mountain Lake's dock, kayak and floats to use. The bungalow's decor was inviting, and kitchen and furnishings were well-equipped. Innkeepers were warm and helpful. Hendersonville's coffee shops, curb market and old-fashioned lunch counter were awesome. We will definitely return.
